Additional information

One study investigating the toxicity of Bis(tridecyl) adipate (CAS 16958-92-2) to aquatic invertebrates is available. The study was performed according to OECD guideline 202 using Daphnia magna as test organism (Rabe, 1997). This test was conducted for 24 hours and a concentration range of 0.6, 0.8, 1.1, 1.6, 2.3, 3.3, 4.6, 6.5, 9.2 and 13 g/L was tested. An emulsifier (Arlatone 983 S) was applied. The EC50 (24h) was determined to be 4500 mg/L. However, as several information about the test conditions (e.g., number of tested organisms, test vessels) were not specified and the test duration was only 24 hours, the data are reliable, but can only be used as supporting information for the assessment of acute effects of Bis(tridecyl) adipate (CAS 16958-92-2) to aquatic invertebrates. Therefore, a new test according to OECD 202 is currently ongoing.
