Although ASTM D7094 (modified continuously closed cup) is not mentioned in the EC A.9 guideline, this method is a commonly used and safer (low sample volume) alternative for the ISO 2719 Pensky-Martens closed cup method. - GLP compliance:

- Executive summary:
The flash point of the substance was determined using the modified continuously closed cup ASTM D7094 method to be 62°C (at 1013 hPa).
Since the flash point was in the range of 60°C ± 2°C, the ISO 3679 rapid equilibrium closed cup method was also conducted. The flash-point of the substance was determined to be 58°C (at 1013 hPa).
