Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No self-ignition temperature was observed up to the maximum test temperature of 402 °C, according to the testing guideline for auto-flammability (solids - determination of relative self-ignition temperature) in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.16.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The test item was tested for auto-flammability according to the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.16.

In the test no thermal effect occurred at a temperature range up to 402 °C starting above 280 °C. The temperature of the test item remained slightly above the oven temperature exceeding 280 °C. This led to a maximum temperature of 402 °C after the oven reached the final temperature.

No sharp temperature increase was observed. Due to the very small difference between the temperatures of the test item and the oven and the fact that no sharp temperature increase has been observed the thermal behaviour has not to be classified as self-ignition.
