Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a static acute toxicity test performed in accordance with OECD TG 203 using fathead minnows, the 96-h LC50 was > 100 mg/L based on nominal concentrations. There were no visible signs of toxicity at any dose used.

Additional information

In a static 96-hour acute toxicity study performed in accordance with OECD TG 203 and US OPPTS 8500.1075, fathead minnows (10 fish per dose) were exposed to the substance, dissolved in DMF, at nominal concentrations of 6.3, 13, 25, 50 and 100 mg/L (2 replicates). A blank negative control and a solvent control were run in conjunction with the test.

There was no analysis of the test concentrations. All results were therefore based on the nominal concentrations.

The results showed that at the nominal test concentrations of 100 mg/L and below the substance produced no visible indication of toxicity after 96 hours exposure. The study met the acceptability criteria and was considered valid.

Under the conditions of the study, the substance produced no visible effects of toxicity in fathead minnows at or below the highest concentration tested. The LC50 (96h) > 100 mg/L and the NOEC is 100 mg/L based on nominal test concentrations.
