Description of key information
DMBA did not ignite, but melted. The melt sustained a flame only briefly (approximately 2 seconds). DMBA is considered as non-flammable.

A GLP study was conducted to determine the flammability of DMBA according to EEC Method A.10.
DMBA was formed into a pile 250 mm long and an attempt made to ignite one end of the pile by application of a gas burner flame for 2 minutes.
DMBA did not ignite, but melted. The melt sustained a flame only briefly (approximately 2 seconds). DMBA is considered as non-flammable.
Justification for classification or non-classification
DMBA did not ignite, but melted in a flammabilty study performed to EC Method A10. The melt sustained a flame only briefly (approximately 2 seconds). Under the conditions of the study DMBA is considered as non-flammable.
