Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

No data are available for the long-term toxicity of docosanamide (CAS No. 3061-75-4) towards aquatic invertebrates. Therefore data from the analogue substance (Z) -docos-13-enamide (CAS No.112-84-5) are used as read across.

The long-term toxicity of (Z) -docos-13-enamide to aquatic invertebrates was investigated in one prolonged study according to OECD guideline 202 (Marshall and Harding, 1996). In this test, Daphnia magna was exposed to analytically verified concentrations of 23 and 80 µg/L (nominal 33 and 100 µg/L) for 21 days under semi-static conditions. As the number of neonates, time for first brood and size of first brood of exposed daphnids did not differ significantly from the control groups; the NOEC (21 d) is stated as ≥ 80 µg/L (measured).

Based on read across to (Z) -docos-13-enamide (CAS No.112-84-5), long term effects are not expected for docosanamide (CAS No. 3061-75-4).
