Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

Tests on inherent and ready biodegradation are available. The tests were performed by LGU Institute and Institute Kuhlmann on behalf of BASF, respectively. The ready test according to ISO 7827 (comparable to OECD guideline 301E) used domestic activated sludge as innoculum. After 28 days no DOC removal was observed (0% biodegradation). Furthermore, two tests according to OECD guideline 302B were performed, one using domestic activated sludge from a municipal sewage treatment the other using activated sludge from the industrial sewage treatment plant of the BASF site in Ludwigshafen/Germany. Both test revealed a DOC removal <10% within the test period of 28 days.
