Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key result
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
1.15
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
3.8
Remarks on result:
other: ± <0.01
Details on results:
The partition coefficient of the test substance 70 % (60 % TLA) was determined at 20 °C. Due to the fact that the partition coefficient log Pow of the test substance was slightly outside the calibrated range (the retention was lower than the one of the reference substance with a log Pow of 1.4), the log Pow was extrapolated to be log Pow = 1.15 ± < 0.01.
Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the partition coefficient of the test substance 70 % (60 % TLA) was determined at 20 °C. Due to the fact that the partition coefficient log Pow of the test substance was slightly outside the calibrated range (the retention was lower than the one of the reference substance with a log Pow of 1.4), the log Pow was extrapolated to be log Pow = 1.15 ± <0.01.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine partition coefficient according to OECD Guideline 117 and EU Method A.8 (HPLC method). Under the study conditions, the partition coefficient of the test substance 70 % (60 % TLA) was determined at 20 °C. Due to the fact that the partition coefficient log Pow of the test substance was slightly outside the calibrated range (the retention was lower than the one of the reference substance with a log Pow of 1.4), the log Pow was extrapolated to be log Pow = 1.15 ± <0.01 (Möller, 2017).

Description of key information
