Additional information

The acute toxicity of the test item Diisopropylbenzene hydroperoxide to Danio rerio exposed with semi-static conditions for duration of 96h was assessed according to the OECD 203 Guideline and GLP requirements (Chastenet, 2014). Fish were exposed to a series of dilutions of a saturated stock solution in dilution water, renewed every day throughout the test period.

Test item concentrations were determined at each observation time in old and fresh solutions. Results have shown that the test item is stable during at least 24h. Furthermore, the deviation from the initial concentration do not exceed 15%. As a result, the LC50 was determined based on the initial measured concentrations. All the validity criteria were fulfilled.

Raw data obtained for mortality did not allow determining a reliable Probit analysis, the LC50 is thus given as indicative value: 96h-LC50 = 11.2 mg/L.
