Based on a comprehensive examination of the structural formula, according to guidance in the UN Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria (5th revised edition, UN (New York and Geneva), 2009, ISBN, 978-92-139135-0), 5,5'-Dithiodi-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2(3H)-thione does not exhibit explosive properties and is not considered capable of rapid gas or heat release (Intertek Pharmaceutical Services Manchester, 2014i). Conduct of an explosivity study according to EU Method A.14 therefore is waived.
