Additional information

An acute test performed by Juhnke & Lüdemann (1978) was identified as key study. As test specis Leuciscus idus was used. After 48 hours of exposure an LC50 of 2430 mg/L was estimated related to the nominal concentration. Although the study is not performed according to modern guidelines Nevertheless the results indicate a low toxicity of the substance. Therefore and for reasons of animal welfare this study is regarded as valid and no further testing is deemed necessary.
