Additional information

A GLP compliant 48 hour semi-static acute toxicity test with Daphnia magna was performed in accordance with OECD 202 to assess the toxicity of diisopentyl ether. Nominal test concentrations were: 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0 and 8.0 mg/l, a diluent control was also included and measured concentrations were determined.

At the end of the test the 96 hour LC50 was calculated to be 2.31 mg/L (CI 95% 2.02 to 2.67 mg/L) based on geometric mean measured concentrations. The NOEC based on immobility was 0.945 mg/l.
