Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Stability

Hydrolysis:

Overall OH Rate Constant of 4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide is estimated to be 212.3468 E-12 cm3/molecule-sec at half life of 0.604 Hrs.The estimated half life of the substance indicates that the substance is rapidly hydrolysable.

Phototransformation in water:

No experimental data available. As this study is not a standard information requirement in REACH and there is no indication from the CSA on the need to investigate further the fate and behaviour of the substance (Annex X requirement), no further testing is considered necessary.

Phototransformation in soil:

No experimental data available. As this study is not a standard information requirement in REACH and there is no indication from the CSA on the need to investigate further the fate and behaviour of the substance (Annex X requirement), no further testing is considered necessary.

Biodegradation:

Biodegradation in Water:

Biodegradation of 4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide in water is estimated to be 50% in 38 days. This value suggests that 4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide is readily biodegradable in water. Hence, the substance is not persistent in water.

Biodegradation in Water and Sediment:

According to PBT profiler & EPI suite Biodegradation of 4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide gives 50 % degradation in Water at 38 days & 50% degradation in Sediment at 340 days. These half lives shows that 4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide is readily biodegradable in water while not readily biodegradable in sediment. Hence, 4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide is not persistent in water while persistent in sediment.

Biodegradation in Soil:

The half-life in soil, 75 days, exceeds the EPA criteria of >= 2 months (and <= 6 months). Therefore,4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide is estimated to be persistent in the environment i.e. 4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide is not readily biodegradable in soil. Hence, the substance is persistent in soil.

Bioaccumulation:

The estimated bioconcentration factor (BCF) for Benzamide, 4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide ,17, does not exceed the EPA bioconcentration criteria. The PBT Profiler estimates that 4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide is not expected to bioaccumulate in the food chain because it does not exceed the BCF criteria.

Transport and Distribution:

Adsorption/desoprtion:

Adsorption coefficient (Koc) of 4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide is estimated to be 139.5 at 25°C and it is equivalent to 111.6 at 20°C. This value suggests that 4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide has very strong sorption to soil and sediment i.e. negligible migration potential to groundwater.

Henry's law constant:

Henr'y Law Constant of 4'-amino-2',5'-diethoxybenzanilide is estimated to be 0.00000000000000266 atm m³/mol at 25°C. This value at 25 °C is equivalent to 0.0000000002695245 Pa m³/mole.
