Additional information

The bioaccumulation potential is estimated using EpiSuite v 4.1. for the substance N-C16-C18-alkyl-(evennumbered, C18 unsaturated) propane-1,3-diaminium di[(9Z)-octadec-9-enoate] (CAS No. 1307863-78-0, old CAS no 61791-53-5).

Episuite estimates the BCF potential of the substance with the model for ionic compounds which assigns a log BCF based on the log Kow cut-off > 9 and includes a correction for the presence of long alkyl chains ("Log BCF = 1.85; ionic, 11 or more -CH2 - groups"). The calculated BCF of 70.8 L/kg indicates a small potential for bioaccumulation in biota. The substance has a very large molecular weight suggesting bulky molecules. Therefore, a low bioaccumulation potential is also expected on the basis of the high molecular weight (MW > 800) which will reduce the ability to cross biological membranes. Episuite estimates a log Kow of 32, which could be taken as an indicator of reduced bioconcentration as well.
