Description of key information

According to observations in the main test series, the auto-ignition temperature rounded down with an accuracy of 5 °C was determined to be 220 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
220 °C

Additional information

The test item Phosphoric acid, C11-14-isoalkyl esters, C13-rich, CAS 154518 38 4 has an auto-ignition temperature of 220 °C according to the Regulation EC 440/2008 Method A.15. Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases) and DIN 51794 (2003): Determination of Ignition Temperature. It is noted here that according to ECHA guidance – Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment; chapter R.7A: Endpoint specific guidance, May 2008 – the auto-ignition temperature for liquids is not used directly for classification and labeling according to regulation (EC) 1272/2008. However, it can be used in the chemical safety assessment in considering risks associated with processing the substance. Nevertheless, according to DIN EN 13463-1 the test item has to be assigned to temperature class T3
