Description of key information

Melting Point (DTPMP-xK): >ca. 393 K. (EU Method A.1)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A limit melting point of >393K was determined for the substance using a valid read across. A recent, reliable DSC test demonstrates that the anhydrous form of the acid melts with decomposition at ca. 393 K. Salts would be expected to melt at a higher temperature than the acid, and to decompose.
