Conclusion on classification

There was a moderate toxicity to aquatic organisms observed in short term tests with fish, Daphnia and algae. The toxicity (EC50) was in the range of 10 to 100 mg/L, the log Pow is 2.3 and the substance is not readily biodegradable. These data are reliable and conclusive. No further data on chronic aquatic toxicity studies and for the evidence of rapid degradation are available.

The criteria for classification for hazards to the aquatic environment according to regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 are fulfilled. Accordingly, the substance is to be classified as hazardous to the aquatic environment, Chronic Category 3.
