Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to structural properties, hydrolysis is not expected/probable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Due to the chemical structure of the substance hydrolysis is not expected. Furthermore the water solubility of the substance is very low. It was not possible to increase the solubility of the test item with the use of a solubilizer (THF). Peaks obtained, if any, were too small to allow quantification or even to follow a degradation curve (RCC Ltd 2002a). Therefore, the test was technically not feasible.

Additionally, in Annex VIII of the Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 REACH, it is suggested, that a study on the "Hydrolysis as function of pH" does not need to be conducted if the " Substance is highly insoluble in water or if the substance is readily biodegradable". Due to the low solubility of the test substance data on hydrolysis are not provided.
