Description of key information

The partition coefficient in the literature was found a measured value of log kow -2.54 (pH 7.0@20°C) and with two different (Q)SAR method calculated Log Kow = -2.1458 and - 2.56.

The partition coefficient was found in literature source measured log kow with -2.54 (pH 7.0@20°C).

The partition coeffcient of L-Proline was calculated with 2 different (Q)SAR methods of which the result obtained with

the software program KOWWIN as a part of the software package EPIWIN 4.0 Suite, Version 4.0, where is developed and maintained by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency copyright © 2000 was selected as key value. The calculated value was Log Kow = -2.1458.

The suitability of the model was assessed and it was concluded that L-proline is considered to be inside the applicability domain of the EpiSuite KOWWIN model.

For the (Q)SAR calculation of log Pow and the pH depended log D used software ACD/LogD Suite, Version

12.0 where developed and maintained by Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc. in 2008.
