other: The surface tension result is corrected for water calibration. Solution age was 15 minutes for test No 1 and 35 minutes for test No 2.

The calibration factor is determined by measuring the surface tension of water and comparing the value obtained in literature. The corrected value is taken from a table compiled on the basis of the Harkin-Jordan correction.

Description of key information

The surface tension of DMDEE was determined, in a GLP study according to test method EC A.5, to be 67.7 mN/m at a test concentration of 1 g/L and at 20 °C, following the ring method (Younis, 2011).
