Due to the high water solubility of the test substance (>797.5 g/L at 20 °C) and a low potential for adsorption to organic soil and sediment particles (log Koc 2.43), the test substance will be found predominantly in the aquatic environmental compartment, as also demonstrated by the Mackay Level I model. Additionally, the calculated Henry’s Law constant indicated a low volatility of the test substance (2.84E-003 Pa m 3/mol at 25°C). No abiotic hydrolysis of the test substance is expected according to the structural properties. A test for biodegradation revealed that the test substance is biodegradable under the test conditions, but not biodegradable. Furthermore, the test substance has a low logKow value (<3). Therefore, the test substance is not expected to be bioaccumlative in aquatic organisms.
