Description of key information

On the basis of a structural assessment, NC-4 does not present oxidising properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

On the basis of an assessment of the structure of NC-4 it ws concluded that NC-4 is not oxidising. With reference to Annex VII of the REACH regulations, this study does not need to be conducted on the basis that the substance is incapable if reacting exothermically with combustible materials. NC-4 is an organic substance which contains oxygen, but does not contain nitrogen or any halogen atoms, and no peroxide bonds are present.

Justification for classification or non-classification

On the basis of a structural analysis of NC-4, it was concluded that it does not present oxidising properties. On this basis, the following physical hazards do not apply;

Oxidising solids

Oxidising liquids

Oxidising gases

Organic peroxides
