Endpoint:
relative density
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2009-10-06 to 2009-10-06
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 109 (Density of Liquids and Solids)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
air comparison pycnometer (for solids)
Type:
relative density
Density:
1.35
Temp.:
22.2 °C
Conclusions:
The relative density at ambient temperature (compared to water at 4°C) is D4R=1.35. The ambient temperature was determined to be 22.2°C +/- 0.2°C.

Description of key information

The relative density of cobalt borate neodecanoate (guideline study results): 1.35 at 22.2°C +/- 0.2°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.35

Additional information

The density of cobalt, borate neodecanoate complexes was measured at ambient temperature with the gas comparison pycnometer according to OECD guideline 109. Two test series with different weights (1.4058g and 1.6990g) were performed.
