Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The flashpoint is estimated to be above 200 degrees C based on the availability of self-ignition, flammability, and pyrophoric properties data.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with Column 2 of Annex VII, the flashpoint study does not need to be conducted if the estimated flashpoint is above 200 degrees C. Self-ignition test data (using EU Method A.16) are available and show that the substance has a relative self-ignition temperature of 358.1 degrees C. Also, the data from two flammability studies show that the substance as a solid does ignite when exposed to a flame, the reaction does not propagate. Thus the substance is not classified as flammable. Additional pyrophoric properties study data also demonstrate that the substance does not meet the criteria for flammable. Based on these data, the flash point of the substance is estimated to be greater than 200 degrees C.
