Description of key information

Self-ignition temperature was measured for six substances in the category Rosin, hydrogenated rosin and their salts. The results range from 335.5 °C to >400°C.

The self-ignition temperature for Resin acids and rosin acids, sodium salts is 343.3°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A GLP-compliant study, conducted according to EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids), was provided for Resin acids and Rosin acids, sodium salts (Chilworth Technology, 2010a).
