Description of key information

In a GLP-Study according to the test guideline (U.S.) EPA 540/9-82-021, Subdivision N, Section 162-1, the DT-50 (half life) value of the test substance in sandy loam was determined to be 2.2 hours.
In a GLP-study according to the German BBA guideline Part IV, 4-1, the rate of mineralization of the test substance amounted to >70% of the applied radioactivity after 4 days in three different soils with DT-50 values in the range of 0.5 to 6.5 hours .

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life in soil:
6.5 h
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

In two GLP studies (according to EPA 540/9-82-021, Subdivision N, Section 162-1 and German BBA guideline Part IV, 4-1) the test substance was mineralized to C02 in four soils to >70% of the applied radioactivity after 4 days.

Depending on the type of soil, the DT-50 values were 0.48, 0.96, 2.20 and 6.48 hours. The geometric mean of these half-lifes was 1.6 hours.

Only two metabolites reached levels above 10% of the applied radioactivity. Their maximum value was at the first day and amounted to < 2 % after day 4.

The microbial biomass was not influenced by the test substance nor by its degradation products.
