Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the flashpoint (-19 ˚C) and the boiling point (73 ˚C), ETBE has to be classified as highly flammable (F; R11) according to EU Directive 67/548/EEC. According to EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 it has to be classified as a Flammable Liquid Cat. 2 (H225).
