Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Details on results:
North America:
Surface water (fresh):
n=1068 total weighted observations, n=853 non-detected values
Median = 0.081 microgram/L; 95th percentile = 0.47 microg/L

Surface water (marine): no data available

Sediment (fresh):
n=71 total weighted observations, n=32 nondected values
Median = 0.6 ng/g, dry weight (dw); 90th percentile = 3.4 ng.g, dw (95th percentile could not be calculated)

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Executive summary:

To assess their potential ecological significance, exposure concentrations were compared with available regulatory criteria. The results suggest that the frequency of locations in which concentrations are likely to cause adverse effects in aquatic systems is low, with the exception of sediments collected from some highly urbanised and industrial locations.
