First-aid measures

Inhalation: Short –term harmful health effects are not expected from vapor-generated at ambient temperatures. If first aid is required move victim to fresh air.
Eye Contact: May cause severe eye irritation. Flush immediately with water for 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention if severe irritation occurs.
Skin Contact: May cause severe irritation or discomfort. Remove contaminated clothing and wash with soap and waterfor 10 minutes.
Ingestion: May cause abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Give two glasses of water. Do not induce vomiting. Obtain medical attention.
After first aid, get appropriate in-plant, paramedic or community medical support.

Fire-fighting measures

Flash Point: > 200 °C
Flash Point Method: ASTM D-93
Flammability Classification: 1
Extinguishing Media: Use water spray, carbon dioxide, alcohol type or universal type foam applied in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Fire-Fighting Instructions: Do not release runoff from fire control methods to sewers or waterways.
Fire-Fighting Equipment: Because fire may produce toxic thermal decomposition products, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with a full facepiece operated in pressure-demand or positive-pressure mode.

Accidental release measures

Safeguards (Personnel): Review the 'Fire-fighting measures' and 'Handling (Personnel)' sections before proceeding with clean up. Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment during clean up.
Spill /Leak Procedures: Collect for disposal in accordance with applicable Federal, national and local regulations. Containment: For large spills, dike far ahead of liquid spill for later disposal. Do not release into sewers or waterways.

Handling and storage

Handling Precautions: (Personnel) Safety glasses and PVC gloves.
Storage Requirements: Keep container tightly closed.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering Controls: No special engineering controls are required under normal use.
Ventilation: Provide general or local exhaust ventilation systems to maintain airborne concentrations. Local exhaust
ventilation is preferred because it prevents contaminant dispersion into the work area by controlling it at its source.
Respiratory Protection: Seek professional advice prior to respirator selection and use. Select respirator based
on its suitability to provide adequate worker protection for given working conditions, level of airborne contamination, and presence of sufficient oxygen. For emergency or non-routine operations
Protective Clothing/Equipment: Wear chemically protective gloves, boots, clothes, and gauntlets to prevent prolonged
or repeated skin contact.
Contaminated Equipment: Separate contaminated work clothes from street clothes. Launder before reuse. Remove this material from your shoes and clean personal protective equipment.
Comments: Never eat, drink, or smoke in work areas. Practice good personal hygiene after using this material, especially before eating, drinking, smoking, using the toilet, or applying cosmetics.

Stability and reactivity

Stability: Stable at room temperature in closed containers under normal storage and handling conditions. Avoid heating, as this causes hydrolysis. Avoids contact with metals as it will vigorously react. Decomposes to phosphoric acid.
Chemical Incompatibilities: None known

Disposal considerations

Disposal: Follow applicable national and local regulations.
