A GLP-study according to OECD Guideline 111 is available for dipropylene glycol methyl ether acetate and an estimation of the photodegradation rate in the atmosphere based on the molecular structure of the alpha isomer using EPIWin.

Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that dipropylene glycol methyl ether acetate degrades rapidly in the athmosphere and is hydrolytically stable at pH 4 and 7, but hydrolyzes slowly at pH 9 and elevated temperatures.
