Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

There is no information concerning terrestrial toxicity of Ethyltriglycol methacrylate available. However, the substance shows a low adsorptive potential to soil (based on an estimated log Koc of 1.74 (estimated via EPIWEB, KocWin method version 2.00, Evonik Industries 2013)) as well as a low bioaccumulative (log Pow = 2.08 (measured), please see Chapter: 4.7, Evonik Industries AG, 2007) potential. According to test guideline OECD 301 F Ethyltriglycol methacrylate was assessed to be readily biodegradable in activated sludge and the substance met the 10-day window. ( please see chapter 5.2.1. biodegradation, Evonik Industries, 1999).

Results from a Mackay level III distribution modelling indicate that if Ethyltriglycol methacrylate is released to air, it mainly distributes to soil (82.3%). A very small amount remains in the air (0.2%) or partitions to water (17.5%). If the substance is released into water, it mainly remains in water (99.8%) (please see chapter 5.4.3, Evonik Industries AG, 2011).
