Justification for classification or non-classification

Classification is based on data used in notification for the multi constituent substance ELINCS Number 403-250-2 Dossier number 89-01-0089. Reassessment of these studies led to a different classification and labelling compared to that reported for the ELINCS substance. Our self classification deviates from that found in EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 ATP02. According to new endpoint data, our self-classification does not warrant an Acute Tox. 4, H302: Harmful of swallowed or Xn; R22 Harmful if swallowed (rat acute oral LD50 of 3115 mg/kg and acute dermal LD50 of >2000 mg/kg would warrant a conclusive but not sufficient for classification), however the stricter classification will be adhered to.
