Additional information

No experimental result for Fatty acids, C16-18, esters with pentaerythritol (CAS-No. 85116-93-4) is available. However, in accordance with column 2 of EC 1907/2006 Annex VIII the testing does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable and highly insoluble in water. Therefore, hydrolysis is not considered as a relevant degradation pathway. Testing with the read-across substance Fatty acids, C14-18 and C18-unsatd., branched and linear, esters with trimethylolpropane (CAS 85005-23-8) indicated that a study is even technically not feasible due to the low water solubility.
