Reference
Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
1 November 1990
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: Experimental result according to a reliable method
Qualifier:
no guideline followed
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The melting point of the test substance was determined using an Electrothermal Series 81009 Digital Melting Point Apparatus with a heating rate of approximately 0.4℃/min. The temperatures were noted at which physical changes in either the sample or standard were observed. The melting point determinations for the sample and melting point standard were carried out in triplicate and duplicate, respectively.
GLP compliance:
not specified
Type of method:
thermal analysis
Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
160.5 - 162.2 °C
Remarks on result:
other: Mean value of three duplicates
Conclusions:
The melting point of test substance is 160.5-162.2℃.

Description of key information

The melting point of test substance is 160.5-162.2℃.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
162 °C

Additional information

The melting point of test substance is 160.5-162.2℃ (Lloyd, 1991).
