Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
88 °C

Additional information

A literature review was conducted. In a weight of evidence approach the literature values were evaluated. The CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics 88th Edition 2007-2008 reports the flash point to be 88°C at 1013.25 hPa using the closed cup method In addition the SYKE database reports the flash point to be 93 °C at 1013.25 hPa. All values are in the same range and therefore were regarded as reliable. A flash point of 88 °C was regarded as worst case assumption and was therefore chosen as key value for chemical safety assessment.
