Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The partition coefficient, log Pow, of YOFCO MAS was calculated to be 4.9.
Executive summary:

Neither the HPLC-method according to OECD Guideline No. 117 nor the fiask-shaking method according to OECD Guideline No. 107 were applicable for the determination of the partition coefficient of YOFCO MAS. Thus, the log Pow-value for the test item was estimated from its solubility in n-octanol and in water, respectively.

In the present study, the n-octanol solubility of YOFCO MAS at room temperature was determined to be 65 g/l. The water solubility of the test item was determined under RCC study 784778 to be 0.8 mg/l.

Therefore, the partition coefficient, log Pow, of YOFCO MAS was calculated to be 4.9.
