Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

One experimental study is available investigating the ready biodegradability of the substance (Hammesfahr, 2016). The study was performed according to the OECD guideline 301 F and GLP. A non-adapted, activated sludge from a domestic sewage treatment plant was used as inoculum and was exposed to an initial test substance concentration of 101.8 mg/L. As the substance contains nitrogen, the evaluation of biodegradation was converted to ThODNH4 and ThODNO3 values. After 28 days test duration, 89% and 78% degradation of the test substance (according to O2 consumption) was observed based on ThODNH4 and ThODNO3, respectively. The 10-day window criterion was fulfilled. A toxicity control containing both, reference substance (sodium benzoate) and test substance did not indicate inhibitory effects to the inoculum (ThODNH4: 67% and ThODNO3: 62% degradation after 14 d).
