Description of key information

The melting range was determined to be between -24 - +24 °C (OECD 102) by differential scanning calorimetry.
Literature data and data from different safety datasheets of several industrial manufacturers was presented additionally.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
18 °C

Additional information

Several literature sources (peer reviewed handbooks or review article or safety data sheets) state melting points between 10 and 20 °C for 'Amines, Coco alkyl'. Original references or methods applied were not stated. The study used as key study was performed according guideline OECD 102 and was therefore assumed to be the most reliable source. The melting range was determined to be between -22 - +24 °C by differential scanning calorimetry. As key value the peak maximum of the DSC-measurement will be given for the chemical safety assessment.

MSDS: 10 - 20 °C
