Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Principles of method if other than guideline:
- Principle of test:

The objective is to check that Proteol SAV 50S matches with the following definition of organic surface-active agents:
If mixed with water at 20 °C and at a 0.5 % concentration; after one hour at the same temperature:
-the product is a transparent or translucent liquid or a stable emulsion without separation of the insoluble material
-the surface tension of water is lowered to 4.5E-2 N/m (45 dynes/cm) or less.

- Short description of test conditions:

Measures at 20°C +/- 1°C with a platinium plate on the tensiometer KRUSS K12.

- Parameters analysed / observed:

Measures number: 100
Maximum time: 200 s
The experience stopped automatically when the standard deviation is equal to 0 mN/m.

GLP compliance:
not specified
Type of method:
plate method
Surface tension:
>= 23.6 - <= 23.7 mN/m
Temp.:
20 °C
Conc.:
5 g/L
Conclusions:
PROTEOL SAV 50S at 20°C and at a concentration of 0,5% in water is a transparent liquid and has a surface tension of 23.65 mN/m.
Executive summary:

PROTEOL SAV 50S at 20°C and at a concentration of 0,5% in water is a transparent liquid and has a surface tension of 23.65 mN/m.
