First-aid measures
Obtain medical attention and proceed in the meantime as follows:
- Inhalation : Move the victim out of the polluted zone and away to fresh air.
- Ingestion : First wash out mouth with water. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Immediately seek medical assistance
- Eye contact : Rinse out with plenty of water for at least 10 minutes with the eyelid wide open. Do not rub the eyes
- Skin contact : Quickly remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with soapy water.
Fire-fighting measures
- Extinguishing media :
Recommended : Water / CO2 / powders / foams.
Inadvisable : /
- Specific danger : When heated strongly, toxic fumes of Cd, CdO and Nox are
formed.
- Specific intervention methods: : /
- Protective equipment : Use independent breathing equipment
Accidental release measures
- Personal Precautions : Don't inhale the dust. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
- Environmental Precautions : Do not allow to enter drains
- Cleaning up : Collect dispersed material by sweeping or, better, by aspiration avoiding dust generation.
Handling and storage
- Handling : Common precautionary measures in keeping with the danger. Avoid dust generation
- Storage : Store in a dry place at room temperature, in tightly closed containers.
