Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- non flammable
- Conclusions:
- Combustion Number 3 can be assigned to the substance (localized combustion or glowing with practically no spreading). The product did not melt. Due to the fact that no propagation of the combustion was observed the burning rate had not to be determined.
UN transport regulation: The substance does not have to be classified as a “readily combustible solid”, class 4.1, of the transport regulations.
EU-GHS/CLP: The substance does not have to be classified as a “flammable solid”.
Regulation (EG) 440/2008 (test methods for REACH): The substance does not have to be classified as a “highly flammable solid”. - Executive summary:
The substance was tested for flammability according to VDI 2263 sheet 1.
The product showed a local smoldering when an ignition source (flame or hot wire) was applied at ambient temperature. A propagation of the combustion was not observed.
The product did not melt.
Due to the fact that no propagation of the combustion was observed the burning rate had not to be determined.
