Description of key information

The test material is a colourless to pale yellow liquid with a melting point below -100°C and boiling point of 245-248°C at atmospheric pressure. The relative density of the test item is 0.915 at 20°C, relative to water at 4°C. The test item was found to have a vapour pressure of 0.29 hPa at 20°C, a water solubility of 51.6 mg/L at 20.0°C and a log Kow of 4.36 at 22.7°C.

The flashpoint at atmospheric pressure is 104.0°C and auto-ignition is observed at a temperature of 275°C.

The test substance does not contain functional groups which are associated with explosive or oxidising properties. Moreover, based on the chemical structure surface activity is not expected.

The substance does not need to be classified for physical hazards.
