Conclusion on classification

Data are available for acute invertebrates (Daphnia and Hyalella azteca) and acute fish for rhodium trichloride. No chronic data are available for this substance. The lowest acute result is an EC50 of 0.290 mg L-1, for Daphnia magna (Okamoto et al. 2014). As this result is <1 mg L-1, an Acute Category 1 classification is assigned to this substance. As the result is <1 mg L-1 and the substance is not rapidly degradable a Chronic Category 1 classification is also assigned. Acute and Chronic M factors of 1 are appropriate for this substance based on the available acute data.
