According to the EU guideline A.9 the flash-point is the lowest temperature, corrected to a pressure of 1013 hPa, at which a liquid evolves vapours, under the conditions defined in the test method, in such an amount that a flammable vapour/air mixture is produced in the test vessel. The substance is solid at room temperature, melts between 206 and 236 °C and starts to decompose soon after melting.
