Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Type:
relative density
Density:
ca. 1.602

20 °C

Calculations:

Absolute density of a substance (δ) is calculated as:

δsubs = WS/Vsubs = WS/(Vpyc – Vhex) = WS/(Vpyc – WH2/δHex) = WS/(Vpyc – WH2 * Vpyc/WH1)

Relative density (D420) is calculated as: δsubs/0.999973

Conclusions:
Relative density = 1.602 at 20°C
Executive summary:

Method

The relative density was determined by means of a pycnometer as per recommendations of OECD TG 109. Density was calculated from the difference in weight between the full and empty pycnometer and its volume.

Result

The relative density is 1.602 at 20°C
