Description of key information

The vapour pressure of streams in this category is in the range 2.5 hPa to 22.72 hPa at 20°C to 25°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
11.42 hPa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

Proprietary studies were available from GKA Competence Centre Analytics (2008a) for the stream 68477-39-4 (vapour pressure 9.04 hPa at 20ºC, 11.58 hPa at 25ºC, and 35.94 hPa at 50ºC) and from Chilworth Technology Limited (2009) for the stream 64741-98-6 (vapour pressure 22.72 hPa at 20ºC). These studies were in accordance with a standard guideline and are considered reliable for assessment. The data from these studies will be read across to other members of the category.

RÜTGERS Germany GmbH, Analytisches Zentrallabor (AZL) (2010) provided data for the stream 64742-94-5 (vapour pressure 2.5 hPa at 20ºC to 25ºC) via a signed Certificate of Analysis. The data provided details on the method used and were considered adequate for assessment.

The mean of the vapour pressure values for the category is 11.4 hPa and this has been used to complete the 'key value for chemical safety assessment'.
