PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Based on the screening criterion, PEMP product was considered potentially P (not readily biodegradable) and not B/vB (logKow ≤4.5).

The substance is not classified as carcinogenic (category 1A or 1B), germ cell mutagenic (category 1A or 1B), or toxic for reproduction (category 1A, 1B or 2) according to Regulation EC no 1272/2008; there is no other evidence of chronic toxicity, as identified by the classifications for specific target organ toxicity after repeated exposure (STOT RE category 1 or 2) according to Regulation EC No 1272/2008). However, the available long-term toxicity data on aquatic organisms are on algae (ErC10 > 0.01 mg/L (0.88 mg/L)) and were concluded to be insufficient to be conclusive on the Annex XIII criteria of REACH for T.
