Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

2EHDPP is a “poorly soluble” substance with tendency to stay undissolved when its concentration exceed the water solubility value. Effects observed in the presence of undissolved test material are not indicative of true toxicity but rather indicates physical effects.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a study according to the "proposed recommended bioassay procedure for egg and free stages of freshwater fish (US EPA, 1972)" the chronic toxicity of S-141 towards raibow trout was investigated in an early life stage test. The 71d-NOEC for survival based on mean measured concentrations was found to be 0.0211 mg/l.

Study performed at 10 to 12 deg.C. At these temperatures, the solubility in water would be even lower than the 0.0506 mg/L measured at 21 deg.C.
