Endpoint:
auto-ignition temperature (liquids)
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
02AUG2010 - 04AUG2010
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study without detailed documentation
Remarks:
no details on specific test series results/observations reported
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.15 (Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases))
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
no
Key result
Auto-ignition temperature:
370 °C
Atm. press.:
> 1 007 - < 1 011 hPa
Remarks on result:
other: Details on the tests series are not provided.

The determination is performed in a pre-heated 200 mL Erlenmeyer flask with at least three test series. It is observed visually or by temperature rise if an auto-ignition of a gas/ air or vapour/ air mixture occurs under different temperatures.

Conclusions:
The auto-ignition temperature of the substance was determined to be 370°C, at 1007-1011 hPa, in accordance with EC A.15 guideline.

Description of key information

The auto-ignition temperature of the substance was determined to be 370°C, at 1007-1011 hPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
370 °C
