- key study
- Study period:
- From December 20th, 2017 to January 02nd, 2018
- Reliability:
- 1 (reliable without restriction)
- Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
- guideline study
- Qualifier:
- according to guideline
- Guideline:
- other: CIPAC MT 59, “Dry Sieve test”
- Deviations:
- no
- GLP compliance:
- yes (incl. QA statement)
- Type of method:
- sieving
- Type of particle tested:
- primary particle
- Type of distribution:
- mass based distribution
- Specific details on test material used for the study:
- The test item was used in its initial form, without any pre-treatment.
- Percentile:
- D50
- Mean:
- 420 - 850 µm
- Remarks on result:
- other: 90.05 % of particles have a size higher than 105 µm
- Conclusions:
- D50: 420 - 850 µm
- Executive summary:
The dry sieve test of test item was determined as per CIPAC MT 59, “Dry Sieve test”. The dry sieve test with the test item was carried out in single replicate.
The sieve with 105 µm size retained more than 90 % of the total test item particles; the sieve with 2812 µm size retained less than 10 % of the particles. The median of particle size (D50) resulted to be between 420 and 850 µm.
Conlcusion
D50: 420 - 850 µm
